New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham got herself into hot water this week with her executive order banning concealed carry in her state. Then she doubled down on her fanatical proposal despite admitting that her ban will have zero effect on criminals.
We’ve seen this kind of radical behavior from public officials in the pandemic lockdowns, and we should be prepared for more of it to come.
In essence, the truth doesn’t matter to people like the Governor of New Mexico. She is a destructive force tearing at everything that holds us together. She is one of many destroyers of our nation who have to destroy the law and its foundation in order for them to carry out their radical agenda.
So, we must never, ever forget that there is a spiritual sickness at the core of this kind of attitude. It is rebellion against God’s law. In this particular instance, the 2nd Amendment upholds a fundamental human right to self-defense.
But not to marauders like Governor Grisham, who see an armed citizenry as a threat to their tyranny.
And we must support the very foundational rule of law in our country by our prayer. Only prayer will address the spiritual sickness at the root of all this destruction.
